The number of home sales in the Thurston County market climbed 3.3% to 437 homes over the last 30 days. To put it in perspective, close-by King County registered 3,431 home sales in the same period, the most of all surrounding counties. Potential buyers should note that prices are coming down in Thurston County, and for this period the median sales price slid from $268,000 to $263,000. Along with the increase in sales, the fact that there are a lower-than-normal two months of inventory indicates that Thurston County is a definite seller's market.
